Takemichi: Tokyo Revengers
Date of birth: June 25
Age: 14 (past), 26 (present)
Takemichi Hanagaki or Takemitchy is the protagonist of the Tokyo Revengers story and a young man who can time travel. To save his girlfriend Hinata Tachibana and, over time, all the people who are dear to him, he decides to become a prominent member of the Tokyo Manji gang.
Appearance of our hero
Takemichi is an average height adult with wavy, tousled black hair. The expression on his face is typical of the demands of everyday life and he looks exhausted.
When he was a teenager, his hair was bleached blonde and he had another haircut. When her hair is down, it looks more like her adult hairstyle. At school, he wears the Mizo Middle School uniform, which consists of a shirt, black pants, and low shoes.
When at Toman's house, he wears the band's clothing: a unique black toppoku with Toman's emblem. His eyes are also noticeably larger and full of optimism, indicating that he has yet to face the dangers of adulthood. He wears a necklace identical to that of his girlfriend.
He has a large scar on his left hand from a stab wound. He also has a gunshot wound to his left foot, which is not normally shown.
Takemichi was a person who had lost his sense of direction. That's why he had an underdeveloped ego and often apologized himself for the smallest offenses. Unable to provide for himself, he harbors resentment towards wealthy people.
But recurring time travel slowly transforms Takemichi into another human being. He becomes a man of unshakable convictions, who passes from the status of a coward to that of a courageous character. Even when the situation seems overwhelming, he refuses to give up. He becomes the unofficial leader who guides Mikey and Draken on the right path, even in Toman's toughest times.
Takemichi is a true friend to those he considers his friends, and he protects them with all his might. He's willing to put his life on the line to make sure they're safe and healthy. This loyalty motivates him in his mission to improve the future of those who are dear to him. His countless attempts to change the tragic fate of his loved ones sometimes leave them dejected and hurt, but he does not give up.
Takemichi has never backed down in a fight. He is ready to be beaten until he bleeds rather than admit defeat. The members of Toman admire Takemichi for his bravery and tenacity, which are of great help to him, even against thick and thin.
Takemichi is known to be as loud and insufferable as Shinichiro Sano, and Draken finds that both are "weakened by women, combative yet trustworthy". Takemichi has terrible personal hygiene and habits. He refuses to tidy his room and has become used to its filthy state.
Protagonist skills and abilities
Takemichi is a captain in Toman, which gives him command of his group. Takemichi's leadership qualities have been essential to the growth of Toman as a whole.
In the opinion of many people, Takemichi has a charisma similar to Shinichiro's. On each mission, he inspired his colleagues in Toman. His magnetism became even more evident after the Kantou incident, when he challenged the best offenders to choose him for their teams.
Takemichi isn't the strongest of fighters, but he's considered one of the toughest, if not the toughest. It has been observed that he can take punches that would have knocked out anyone else, while getting back up and fighting back.
The most remarkable proofs of his resistance: he was stabbed in the hand and still fought and defeated an opponent much stronger than him; he was shot in the foot and was still able to run after his opponent.
Takemichi has limited attack strength. His strength and combat abilities are average. He rarely wins alone, but his tenacity has kept attackers in check long enough that stronger allies can always appear. If the scenario is serious enough, Takemichi's willpower makes him nearly impossible to incapacitate.
Takemichi's strength depends on the degree of danger. He finds it difficult to take on a few ordinary thugs, but in desperation he has already temporarily defeated an extremely powerful fighter.
Despite this, Takemichi's combat abilities further improved. Despite this, he lacks finesse and technique and resorts to methods considered dishonorable, such as biting. Later, he manages to overpower Kisaki during a one-on-one fight and even manages to knock the weapon out of his hands before he can react.
Takemichi has the ability to time travel. However, he can only go back exactly 12 years. While Takemichi is in the past, the current timeline continues as normal, but only as long as Takemichi is there. To use this ability, he must shake Naoto's hand in the present to return to the past and vice versa.
This ability has several negative effects, one of them being memory loss. When Takemichi travels to the past, he often finds himself in situations he doesn't understand, as his old self continues to live life as normal, while Takemichi must try to figure out how he got to where he is and what he is doing. he does.
Many people noticed Takemichi's evolution. Some think that his own personality has changed, because his current "self" and his previous "self" are two different people, although they are one and the same person. Takemichi has full control of his body when he travels to the past, and he is the dominant being.
It's possible that his future self doesn't know anything about his old self's time travel abilities, or even if his old self is still aware or perceives anything of his future self's behaviors when he takes it on. control.
The ability to time travel is activated by a strong, shared desire to alter certain events in the past in order to change the future. Takemichi was no longer able to time travel after Naoto lost his motivation to do so. This talent for time travel is not limited to Naoto; it can also be brought about by shaking hands with anyone with the same desire to change the past.
Takemichi is now able to time jump thanks to the contact he made with Mikey just before the final storyline. Takemichi can go back 10 years when he shakes Mikey's hand in the final story arc. Even though this difference in the flexibility of time jumps is not yet fully explained, it is possible that Takemichi could go back 10 years using this power.
Takemichi's actions in the timeline have immediate consequences and influence many characters. Although Takemichi changes some elements that have an immediate effect on the timeline, neither Takemichi nor Naoto are aware of the full extent of the changes until they occur much later.
Takemichi can only move through time if he and the person he is shaking hands with are still alive. If one of the two is dead, Takemichi is bound to the past, no matter how many times they shake hands in the present. In this case, he can only return to the present by altering history so that the two people involved survive and travel through time together.
Takemichi meets Senju Kawaragi where he has a vision of his death in the future. Current restrictions and trigger for this ability are unknown. Also, after coming into contact with her, he noticed blood on her hands and clothes.
This ability has manifested before, when he was able to see events that he himself was unaware of, but had already taken place, such as Mikey murdering Kazutora during the bloody Halloween, or Hinata, who rejected Kisaki when he confessed.
